Gambling addiction affects also the lives of those nearest and dearest to the gambler, most likely family members, parents, partners and close friends. Often the problem gambler is in denial of their addiction. The gambler may have convinced him/herself that everything is in order so sometimes it is easier for an outsider to recognise the problem. If you are close to someone who is addicted to gambling, it is very important to remember to look after your own well-being too.
In addition to supporting gamblers, we offer support for their close friends and family. We can arrange individual meetings, meetings with the whole family or meetings with only a partner/friend present. |

Lie bet is a quick test designed to help to identify a problem gambler. It consists of two questions to the gambler: Have you ever felt the need to gamble more money than you had planned to? Have you ever lied to a person close to you about your gambling?
If the answer is Yes to one or both of the questions, the person may have a gambling problem.
